It's a WONDERFUL life!

Don't I have an AMAZING husband?! I married a wonderful Mr. Fixit! :) He has done such a good job working on our house this summer while he has been out of school. Our closet door looks fabulous, and the new wall is beautiful! I can't believe how quickly he completed the whole project, too! What a hard worker. Good job Matt!!! I'm sure loving the extra space!

I guess this means that it's time to move on to project #2 of the summer...the baby room!!! :) We only have 16 weeks left! (Ok...that's a little terrifying to type...) Anyway. Here are a few items we are going to be purchasing soon. Any tips, advice, or recommendations are definitely welcome!

Chicco Cortina Stroller & Carrier
Simplicity Ellis 4-in-1 Convertible Crib (Espresso)
My Little MVP Bedding Set

There are still so many things to figure out. Such as, I still need to decide what to do about a Bassinet (or something for the first few weeks). We also need to figure out what to do as far as shelving, clothing dresser, changing table, etc. Looks like we have our work cut out for us!!! At least it is fun work... :)

The Closet Door

Well, I had this great idea to maximize the space in our condo. So, I decided now that I am done with school for the semester that I should get on the task of moving the closet door from one side of the wall to the other side of the wall closest to the front door. Genius right? So, today it began. I can't say it was just me, I had the great help of my neighbor Mike, he sure knows his stuff.

Picture one as I started I first took out the closet shelf and the casing on the backside.

Picture two cutting out the old sheet rock.

Picture three after crawling into the attic to wire the coax cable and the plug.

Picture four the mudding and perfataping begins.

Picture five finished mudding and taping.

Picture six the inside of the new closet.

Now we just have to wait for the mudding to dry and mud again!

All in a days work!!!
